Внутри ботанического сада находится его главная гордость, место, где ежегодно бывают более полутора миллионов путешественников - Национальный парк Орхидей. Он открылся 20 октября 1995 года по инициативе заместителя министра Сингапура Ли Куаль Ию (Lee Kuan Yew).



Парк орхидей расположен на одном из холмов Ботанического сада и занимает площадь 3 гектара. На сегодня это самая большая в мире коллекция живых орхидей и образцовый центр по их гибридизации и сохранению. Парк насчитывает 60 000 видов особей, включающих 400 разновидностей и более чем 2 000 гибридов.
