При Совете организована Постоянная консультативная комиссия по миротворческой деятельности.
Координационно-консультативный комитет
Координационно-консультативный комитет является постоянно действующим исполнительным и координирующим органом СНГ. Комитет состоит из полномочных представителей стран СНГ (по два от каждого государства), Координатора комитета, назначаемого Советом глав государств. Оперативное руководство Комитетом осуществляет Председатель. При Комитете имеется Секретариат, возглавляемый Координатором — заместителем Председателя Комитета. Место пребывания Комитета — г. Минск.
