The Department of State and Department of Homeland Security United States introduce a range of new procedures to ensure that foreign children adopted in the United States, received the highest level of protection.The new procedures apply after 1 April for the United States, entered into force in respect of the Hague Convention on protection of children and cooperation in respect of international adoption. Currently, this Convention more than 70 countries.The Convention "would provide more protection to children and families who want to adopt them," said in mid-April, the Senator from Minnesota Norm Coleman, co-Chair of the Congressional Coalition on adoption.
