НАЗАРБАЕВ НУРСУЛТАН АБИШЕВИЧ
Родился 6 июля 1940 года в селе Чемолган Каскеленского района Алма-Атинской области Казахской ССР (ныне село Ушконыр Карасайского района Алматинской области Республики Казахстан).
В 1967 году окончил завод-втуз при Карагандинском металлургическом комбинате.
Доктор экономических наук. Академик Национальной академии наук Республики Казахстан. Почетный профессор и почетный доктор ряда ведущих зарубежных и отечественных университетов. Автор многочисленных книг и научных статей.
С 1960 по 1969 годы работал на Карагандинском металлургическом комбинате. С 1969 по 1979 годы находился на партийной, комсомольской работе в городе Темиртау Карагандинской области и Карагандинском обкоме партии.
В 1979-1984 годах – секретарь Центрального Комитета Компартии Казахстана. С 1984 по 1989 годы – Председатель Совета Министров Казахской ССР. В 1989-1991 годах – первый секретарь Центрального Комитета Компартии Казахстана. Одновременно с февраля по апрель 1990 года – Председатель Верховного Совета Казахской ССР.
Возглавляет Республику Казахстан с момента ее образования в 1991 году, став Президентом Республики Казахстан по итогам первых всенародных выборов, состоявшихся 1 декабря 1991 года.
На последних внеочередных выборах Главы государства 26 апреля 2015 года действующий Президент Казахстана Нурсултан Назарбаев вновь одержал уверенную победу.
Является Первым Президентом Республики Казахстан, Лидером нации, Верховным Главнокомандующим Вооруженными Силами Республики Казахстан, Председателем правящей партии «Нур Отан», Совета Безопасности Республики Казахстан, Совета по управлению Национальным фондом Республики Казахстан, Ассамблеи народа Казахстана, Всемирной ассоциации казахов, Совета иностранных инвесторов при Президенте Республики Казахстан, Высшего попечительского совета Назарбаев Университета.
Является автором книг «Стальной профиль Казахстана», «Без правых и левых», «Стратегия ресурсосбережения и переход к рынку», «Стратегия становления и развития Казахстана как суверенного государства», «Идейная консолидация общества как условие прогресса Казахстана», «На пороге XXI века», «Казахстан-2030. Супруга, Сара Алпысовна Назарбаева, с февраля 1992 года – основатель и президент Международного детского благотворительного фонда «Бобек». С июля 1994 года С.Назарбаева – президент фонда «SOS – детские деревни Казахстана».
У Президента три дочери.
Назарбаева Дарига Нурсултановна (1963 г.р.), старшая дочь. Доктор политических наук. Депутат Сената Парламента Республики Казахстан, председатель Комитета по международным делам, обороне и безопасности.
Кулибаева Динара Нурсултановна (1967 г.р.), средняя дочь. С 2004 года является председателем совета директоров Казахстанско-Британского технического университета.
Назарбаева Алия Нурсултановна (1980 г.р.), младшая дочь. Руководитель строительной компании.
