The relevance of these results is due to the fact that pre-school age - a key stage in the development of ethnic identity of the person. In circumstances where the child is living in the border area of Russia, this process is affected by a variety of factors related to the geographical, cultural, linguistic, economic specifics of residence. As a result, the theoretical, methodological and empirical work on the development and implementation of the major components of the educational system to supervise the process of formation of ethnic identity of the child in preschool educational institution were formulated objectives and principles of organization of educational process, methods and techniques for their implementation in a particular social structure - pre-school education organization. Scientific novelty is reflected in the development and testing of elements of evidence-based system of ethno-cultural education of preschool children in the border areas of Russia, from a regional perspective (for example, the Pskov region). The research project identified and used the principles of integration at the level of objectives, contents (educational field), methods and tools (logic games and tasks for specific content). The project developed and tested pedagogical diagnostics representations of preschool children about the architecture of his native city. Results of the study are being implemented in pilot sites in Pskov, Pskov region, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad.
The results of the study are presented in ten scientific international events (conferences, seminars, workshops) and eleven publications (Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar).
As of December 1, 2014 the project was carried out at 90%. Summarizes the steps to be completion and submission of the final results in the publications.
