По мне, так экранизация романа получилась замечательной, компьютерная графика никак не испортила фильм, а наоборот придала ему красочности. Баз Лурман воспроизвел на экране все так, как и хотел Фицджеральд, уделив особое внимание деталям: белый костюм на встречу в Дэйзи, зелёный огонёк, роковая жёлтая машина. Цвета играли очень важную роль на протяжении всей картины. Они невольно подчеркивали детали, благодаря чему самый неосведомленный зритель поймет, кто здесь Великий, а кто черный работник. Бесспорно, жизнь в ритме джаза, воплощенная в книге, передана весьма специфично, но главное, что фильм сохранил дух времени.Антураж, одежда, негритянки, которые едут в машине, слушая реп… Понимаешь, что это все не потеряло актуальность.
